Mississauga Rd. close to the QEW will be totally shut down to traffic during November 25-26 weekend so work crews could carry out a fragmentary demolition of the highway overpass.

The demolition marks a milestone in the current rehabilitation of the QEW bridge over the Credit River, a big project that started over a year ago.
QEW/Credit River Improvement Project officials overseeing the major undertaking reveal that Mississauga Rd., from the QEW westbound off-ramp to South Sheridan Way, will be fully shut down from Friday, November 25 at 9 p.m. till the following morning at 8 a.m.
Project leaders said the aim of the closure is to allow workers to carry out a “partial demolition of the existing QEW overpass at Mississauga Rd.” They added that traffic disruptions are expected in the area.
Officials said access to Mississauga Cres. will be maintained and paid-duty police officers will direct traffic during the work.

Work on the overpass and connecting road closure will depend on weather and is subject to a change of date.
