The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss, has resigned after a month and half in office.
She announced her resignation 24 hours after she made it known she was a fighter and not a quitter, and so would continue as the Prime Minister.

She succeeded Boris Johnson who resigned his appointment as Prime Minister in July over a series of scandals.
Liz Truss disclosed she would stay on until a successor is selected in the coming week.
More details later.
