According to reports, Lionel Messi will decide on his future in the coming hours after his father met with Joan Laporta, Barcelona’s President.
Nigerian Canadian News gathered that Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi met with Laporta regarding a return to Barcelona, but the meeting yielded no result as the Spanish champions were unable to make a concrete offer owing to financial fair play restrictions that remain on the finances of the club.
Mail Online revealed that Messi will now decide on his future with Al Hilal FC and Inter Miami FC keen to sign the Argentine legend.
Though other European sides have shown tentative interest in the World Cup winner, his salary remains an obstacle.

Barcelona want to meet La Liga officials in a bid to make a presentation regarding their finances but Messi wants to decide quickly over his next choice.
Messi played his last game for PSG recently in a 3-2 defeat to Clermont, a match where he was booed by his own fans.
Messi’s father, who doubles as his agent, was seen heading into to be Laporta’s house for a meeting.
A deal which sees Messi return to Barcelona will give him what would likely be a fairytale ending to his football career.
At Barcelona, Messi scored 672 goals in 778 appearances and won 34 trophies.
