Lawrence Toet, Blair Yakimoski and residents of Transcona endorse Titi Tijani

TiTi Tijani is a Canadian-Nigerian social activist and the PC candidate for Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the vibrant community of Transcona, Winnipeg.

Titi is a community development leader and an educator who has established deep roots in Winnipeg where she has lived for over 36 years and has made meaningful contributions to the successful settlements of newcomers to Manitoba.

Titi is the President of the African Communities of Manitoba Inc.(ACOMI). Recognized for her spirit of volunteerism and community service, she has received numerous awards, including the prestigious 2022 Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Community Leadership Award, the 2021 Mayor’s Volunteer Service Award, the 2020 Manitoba Honour 150, and the 2014 Spirit of a Community Builder Award.

Recently, Lawrence Toet, former Member of Parliament for Elmwood-Transcona (2011 – 2015), announced his endorsement of Titi Tijani as the Progressive Conservative Party’s MLA candidate for Transcona. The endorsement recognizes Tijani’s significant community contributions and leadership abilities.

While endorsing her, Toet said: “Titi Tijani is that advocate, that voice, and that compassionate new leader. She brings experience, commitment, and visionary leadership to the service of our community. Her career in social services, education, and her volunteer work has allowed her to advocate for thousands of community members in their pursuit of building a more diverse, sustainable, and equitable Manitoba.

“Titi Tijani embodies genuine, bold, and visionary leadership. With Titi as our representative, I am confident that our Transcona community will thrive. I am proud to wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy and urge you to support Titi and the PC Party in the upcoming election.”

Also, Blair Yakimoski, a Canadian provincial politician, who was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the riding of Transcona in the 2016 election, has thrown his weight behind her.

Furthermore, Tijani, who rounded off her campaign recently by saying, “Dear Neighbours, it’s been an exciting ride that now comes down to your votes. I’ve made my case before you, knocking on your beautiful doors for at least thrice. A vote for me opens a new and better chapter for Transcona. Please come out on Election Day and vote” has received the unwavering support of the good people of Transcona.
