England footballer, Lauren James, has restricted comments on her Instagram account amid backlash following her Women’s World Cup sending–off.
Recall that James stamped on the back of Super Falcon’s Michelle Alozie during the crunchy Round of 16 clash and was sent off after a VAR review.
The sending-off left the England players hanging on with just 10 players through extra time, but they later progressed to the next stage after winning 4-2 on penalties.
After the match, James, 21, restricted who could comment on her Instagram account, which has 568,000 followers.
It seems she was obviously anticipating abusive comments over her violent conduct.
