Kenya Airways shuts down Booking Offices in Johannesburg and Kisumu over national shutdown protests in South Africa

Kenya Airways has closed its town booking offices in Johannesburg and Kisumu on March 20, 2023 due to the ‘national shutdown’ initiated by Far-Left radicals from Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in South Africa.

The Airways made the announcement in a recent statement which stated that the booking offices would be closed on March 20, 2023, due to the expected riots in these cities. The offices will resume operations on March 21, 2023.

The company stated further that all other Kenya Airways-run offices within the network including the airport offices in Johannesburg and Kisumu will be operational.

The Airways apologized for the inconvenience while highlighting its priority of the safety and well-being of its employees and customers.

The EFF earlier announced a “national shutdown” to protest against some issues encountered by the citizens including frequent power outages, corruption, and unemployment.
