Famous American artist formerly known as Kanye West has officially changed his name to Ye.
A Los Angeles Superior Court Communications Officer confirmed that a Los Angeles judge approved the rapper’s change of name request.

He filed the request in August and cited “personal reasons.”
The rapper who has hits like Gold Digger and Stronger has used Ye as a nickname and used it as an album title in 2018.
Not long after the album was released, the famous rapper tweeted: “The being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.”
However, he has made the name change official and his previous full name, Kanye Omari West, no longer exists.
While talking about the name change, Ye said: “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible, it means you. So it’s I’m you, I’m us, it’s us,” he said in a 2018 interview with radio host Big Boy.
“It went from being Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, our everything.”
