Famous American rapper, Kanye West, could potentially be prohibited from entering Australia due to the anti-Semitic comments he once made.
According to reports, the rapper, known as Ye, is planning to visit Melbourne in the coming days to meet the family of his new wife, designer Bianca Censori.

It should be recalled that Ye was widely criticized last year for commending Adolf Hitler during an interview with American far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Australia’s Education Minister, Jason Clare, has suggested Ye’s past comments could prevent him from gaining an Australian visa.
Though the Minister did not know if Ye had applied for a visa, he said a quick Google search showed he ‘seems like he’s a pretty big fan of a person who killed six million Jewish people last century’.
While talking to Nine’s Today recently, Clare said: “People like that who’ve applied for visas to get into Australia in the past have been rejected.
“I expect that if he does apply, he would have to go through the same process and answer the same questions that they did.’
Recently, opposition Leader Peter Dutton said while talking to 3AW that his inclination would be to not allow the rapper to enter Australia.
He said: “His anti-Semitic comments are disgraceful, his conduct and his behaviour is appalling, and he’s not a person of good character.”
He made it known that the immigration minister had the power to prevent people of bad character coming into Australia.

He said: “My instinct would be if I was that decision maker, I think there are better people we could welcome in.”
