According to the spokesperson of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, is planning not to extend his term which ends in October.
The Norwegian has been serving as the Secretary General of NATO since 2014. His term was extended last year following Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine.
The spokesperson added that his term expires in October and that “he has no intention of seeking a further extension of his mandate.”
