The 73rd annual Emmys will not be attended by Jennifer Aniston as she told Jimmy Kimmel that she would skip out on the annual television awards show.
While talking to the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, she said: “I will not be going. This is still a big step for me just to be here. It’s just baby steps.”

Her comments came a week before the Emmys return for an in-person ceremony on the Event Deck at L.A. Live, directly behind the Microsoft Theatre.
The 73rd Emmy Awards will witness a limited amount of nominees converge in person to take their prizes and honour the best in television this year. It should be recalled that Aniston appeared to present at last year’s ceremony, which was hosted by Kimmel.
Since the advent of the pandemic in 2020, Aniston has been expressing her concerns over coronavirus safety. In June 2020, she admonished her Instagram followers to consider the death toll of the ongoing pandemic and keep wearing masks to prevent the spread of the highly infectious disease.

In August, she featured on InStyle Magazine and talked about how the Covid pandemic and how talks about vaccinations altered her personal life.
She said: “It’s a real shame. I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate.
“I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day.”
