Famous American actress and talk show host, Jada Pinkett Smith, has revealed why she cannot divorce her husband, Will Smith, in spite of the fact that the couple have been living “completely separate lives” since 2016.
Pinkett stated the reason when she featured in the latest episode of the On Purpose podcast hosted by Jay Shetty.
During the podcast, Shetty read out a message from Will Smith applauding Pinkett’s memoir, ‘Worthy’, and while reacting to Smith’s review of her book, the actress said his sense of humour is why she can’t divorce “that joker.”
Shetty read: “I applaud and honour you. If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would have hugged you more. I’ll start now. Welcome to the authors club. I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest.”
Jada Pinkett blushed: “Hahaha. He knows I can’t have no Merlot. That’s beautiful. That’s why I can’t divorce that joker [laughs].”
Recall that Pinkett recently revealed in a clip from her forthcoming NBC News primetime special with Hoda Kotb that she and her husband, Will Smith, have been living separately since 2016.
Pinkett said: “It was not a divorce on paper but it was a divorce. Since 2016, we have been living apart.”.
