The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Professor Charles Soludo, as the winner of the Anambra State gubernatorial election.

The Chief Returning Officer, Professor Florence Obi, announced the results in Awka and revealed Soludo scored 112, 229 votes to triumph over 17 other candidates.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Ozigbo, amassed 53, 807 votes while Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 43, 285 votes.
