(NC) In our go-go-go world, being busy has become the rule rather than the exception for many people. It’s important to take proactive steps to manage stress and to give yourself the nutrients your body needs to sustain a busy lifestyle.

Limit caffeine intake
Aim to have no more than two cups of coffee each day, and have your last cup before noon. Caffeine may cause nervousness and jitters, none of which is good if you are already feeling anxious. Lowering caffeine intake helps keep you calm throughout the day and helps ensure you can fall into a good night’s sleep.

Focus on getting high-quality sleep
Restorative sleep is the cornerstone of optimal health. Aim to get about eight hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. If you are having trouble falling asleep, try shutting down devices at least an hour before bed, don’t have any sugar close to bedtime, and make sure that your sleep sanctuary is cool and dark.
