The sex assault trial of famous Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard will resume in Toronto today.
The Crown recently finished the presentation of its evidence and the defence will start making its case today.

Hoggard who is the frontman for the band Hedley has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault which caused bodily harm and one of sexual interference, a charge that borders on the sexual touching of a person under 16.
The charges connect to incidents which involved two complainants, one of whom was a teenager when the incident occurred.

According to prosecutors, Hoggard arranged for the complainants to meet him at Toronto-area hotels, where they allege he raped them violently and repeatedly, leaving them bleeding and bruised.
Meanwhile, the defence argued that Hoggard had consensual sex with the complainants.
