Former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, on Saturday congratulated Elder statesman and Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark, on his 92nd birthday.
Jonathan, who took to his verified Twitter handle, thanked God for blessing Nigeria and the Niger Delta with someone like Clark, who served as Information Minister during the regime of General Yakubu Gowon.
“I join the family members and other well-wishers of Chief E. K. Clark to congratulate the elder statesman on his 92nd birthday.
“I am grateful to God for blessing Nigeria and the Niger Delta with someone like you.
“You made significant contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development while serving the nation as a regional and federal commissioner in different political dispensations and you have continued to serve her as a foremost leader and statesman,” the tweet read.
