Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, 67, died in the United States, according to the church’s Instagram platform.
“The Fountain of Life Church family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty, announces the passing unto greater glory of our father, our teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA,” the statement read.
At the time his demise was made public, the cause of death was unknown. However, the clergy’s life has been tumultuous after the loss of his second wife, Nomthi Rosemary, and twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, to cancer in 2021.

In 1994, Mr. Odukoya established his church, where he served as the leader until his passing. During his tenure, the church actively engaged in community participation. This commitment led to the inception of various outreach endeavors, such as a hospital, an orphanage, a school catering to underprivileged children, a farm, a water initiative that installed boreholes in crucial areas to provide clean and drinkable water for those lacking access, and an institute dedicated to fostering skills and entrepreneurship among the less fortunate.
