Fireboy, a Nigerian singer whose real name is Adedamola Adefolahan, has gone into collaboration with popular American singer, Madonna.
He started out recording at his friend’s home studio with mid- quality versions of his song until he signed up with a record label YBNL owned by Olamide in October 2018
He said that Madonna sent him a DM twice.
Earlier in April, Fireboy DML said Madonna first reached out to him in 2019 as a fan of his music.
She later uploaded a video and used his debut studio album ‘Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps’ as background music.
While talking further, Fireboy said she later reached out asking to ‘feature.’ When commenting during the TMZ show, he said: “She slid into my DM asking for a remix on her ‘Frozen.’
He further said the collaboration has helped in exposing Afrobeats to the world and that it is an honour working with her.
