The Ministry of Power has stated that Federal Government has not taken a decision as regards provision of free electricity for Nigerians to cushion the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The ministry made this known while reacting to the report that Federal Government plans to provide electricity for Nigerians free of charge for two months.
While making clarification as to the report, the ministry on its official Twitter handle said: “Please Note: NO DECISION has been taken by the Federal Government to provide Nigerians with FREE ELECTRICITY for 2 months. If and when that becomes a reality, it shall be announced officially. Be rest assured that FG is exploring ways to ameliorate any hardship on Nigerians.”
