The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disclosed that none of those who attended the funeral of Muhammadu Buhari’s former Chief of Staff, late Abba Kyari, on April 18 has tested positive for COVID-19.
Nigerians reacted after viewing videos and pictures which revealed that those who were at the burial contravened social distancing and other guidelines issued by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to curb the spread of COVID-19.
All the atendees were ordered to immediately go on self isolation while those who work in Presidency were directed to distance themselves from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
A tweet posted by FCTA last night revealed that all the identified and isolated attendees have tested negative and have gone to be with their families.
The tweet reads: “The FCT Health & Human Services Secretariat is happy to announce that the individuals exposed during the burial of late COS to the President have completed their 14days of isolation. Tests were conducted and they have all tested NEGATIVE to #COVID19.”
