The presence of police has been beefed up at Pearson Airport in Mississauga amid a deadly vehicle explosion on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls which is being investigated by law enforcement in Canada and the U.S. as a possible terror-related incident.
In a recent statement on social media, Peel Regional Police stated that they are “aware of the incident at Rainbow Bridge. We are monitoring the situation, are in contact with our partners and have deployed additional officers to Pearson Airport.”
According to reports, it has been confirmed by medical officials that two people were killed after a vehicle exploded on the U.S. side of the famous Rainbow Bridge recently.

Law enforcement agencies of both countries, including the FBI and OPP, are investigating the incident.
Though there has been no confirmation that the explosion is terror-related, that is a consideration by police at this time.
Meanwhile, authorities have not ruled out the incident might have been caused by something else, including a reckless driver.
