Protesters will storm the Lekki Toll Gate in a car procession to mark the first anniversary of #EndSARS nationwide protests which occurred last year.
The commemoration will happen despite the Lagos State Police Command’s warning against any type of #EndSARS protest on the grounds that the Lagos State cannot afford a repeat of the vandalism carried out by hoodlums that hijacked the protests of last year.

The organisers appealed to those that will partake in the memorial protest to come to Lekki Toll Gate with their cars.
They also advised protesters to stay in groups and stay in their vehicles for security reasons.
The procession will hold between 8 am and 10 am.
One of the artists identified with the protest, Folarin Falana famously known as Falz shared a post which read: “We must never forget. We’re rolling up in cars tomorrow to drive through the tollgate.
“We know their way, so a procession of cars is the safest option to minimize police harassment. We have rides for people that need.”
In the same vein, a prominent member of the Feminist Coalition, which coordinated the protests, Ms Feyikemi Abudu said: “#EndSARSMemorial People were shot, injured and killed as they waved flags & sang. To memorialise them, we’re driving through the toll tmrw.
“We know them, so cars are to limit harassment. If you don’t have a car, txt the number. There’s space. Will be there at 8. Join if you can.”
