The founder of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk has denied reports that he once had a brief affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan.
Elon Musk tweeted there was “nothing romantic” between him and Ms Shanahan and added that he and Mr Brin remain close friends.
His tweets came after a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report which cited unidentified sources said he had a brief affair with Ms Shanahan.
The report said the affair made Mr Brin file for divorce from Ms Shanahan earlier this year and ended the long friendship of the tech billionaires.
Musk responded to a tweet about the affair on Twitter and added that it was “total bs”.
He tweeted: “This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night!
“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”
Google and Tesla did not respond immediately to requests for comment, and Mr Brin and Ms Shanahan were not available for immediate comment.
Brin’s lawyer declined to comment to WSJ and Shanahan did not respond to requests from the paper for comment.
