Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has disclosed that one of his daughters tested positive for COVID-19.
Okowa made the disclosure via his official Twitter handle. While making the disclosure, the Governor stated that the duo of he and his wife, Edith Okowa will both be “going into isolation for the next 14-days. We will continue to keep you all updated”.

Okowa’s daughter happens to be among the 781 COVID-19 cases recorded in the State, as announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday.
Delta State located in the South-South region of Nigeria has the 7th most infected persons with the coronavirus disease in Nigeria.
According to NCDC, Nigeria as at June 26, 2020 has recorded 23,298 confirmed cases of the virus with 8,253 discharged and 554 deaths.
