Cristiano Ronaldo has dedicated his sensational Manchester United return to former United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Manchester United remitted an initial 15 million Euros (£12.85m) to sign the 36-year-old from Juventus, 12 years after he left the club to join Real Madrid.
He signed a two-year contract, with the option to extend for one year.
The deal surprised the football world as reports earlier reported he would be joining United’s arch-rivals Manchester City.

For the first time, Ronaldo has now come out publicly to talk about his move to United. He said the life of the fans and the memories he enjoyed at the club were too much for him to ignore the chance to come back.
While talking on his Instagram page, he wrote: “Everyone who knows me, knows about my never-ending love for Manchester United.
“The years I spent in this club were amazing and the path we’ve made together is written in gold letters in the history of this great and amazing institution.
“I can’t even start to explain my feelings right now, as I see my return to Old Trafford announced worldwide.
“It’s like a dream come true, after all the times that I went back to play against Manchester United, and even as an opponent, to have always felt such love and respect from the supporters in the stands.
“This is absolutely 100% the stuff that dreams are made of!”
Sir Alex Ferguson was Ronaldo’s manager during his first spell at Old Trafford where he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances before he left for Real Madrid in 2009.
According to reports, Ronaldo spoke to Ferguson before his return to United, which could also cost the club 8 million Euros (£6.85m) in add-ons.
However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has dedicated his return to Sir Alex Ferguson. While dedicating his return to his former coach, Ronaldo wrote “I’m right here! I’m back where I belong! Let’s make it happen once again! PS – Sir Alex, this one is for you…”
