Founder and CEO of Olbali Brands and founder of The Mane Choice, Courtney Adeleye has added to her collection of business by becoming the first black person to launch a healthy, multi-vitamin popcorn into GNC.
Poptritional is a one-of-a-kind, delicious popcorn that is also infused with vitamins. It’s available on GNC.com now and in select GNC, GNC Live Well retail locations.

The business tycoon built her innovative beauty empire from the ground up by incorporating her specialized knowledge base with her own curiosity. Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, the wife and mother of three, was no stranger to hard work and self-motivation.
Her personal healthy hair care journey became her calling, as her YouTube viewers watched her amazing hair growth progress and yearned for her self-discovered solutions for their own tresses. Courtney’s unique healthy product mixes intrigued viewers and quickly garnered her a large following.
As a registered nurse by trade and University of Michigan graduate, her science-based background helped her identify what products and ingredients would render the best results and solutions.

Courtney went from taking a $500 investment and turning it into over $100,000,000.00 in sales in just 6 years. Now, she runs the conglomerate company Olbali Brand, which consists of Foolproof Body, Cool Coffee Clique, Poptritional, Rich Quench, Suite Retreat Vacations, Lily Frilly and Bizpire.
In an interview with newsmen, Adeleye chronicled how she transitioned into business. “I’m a registered nurse and was practicing nursing before I started The Mane Choice, but I’ve always been a problem-solver. The Mane Choice is all about the merging of ‘beauty, health, and science,’ so it went hand-in-hand to integrate health into the beauty industry. I’ve always had a concentration on health, so when I identified the problem — a lack of products to help my hair grow, retain nutrients, and remain healthy — I set out to find a solution.

“All products are infused with vitamins and nutrients, plus natural ingredients like exotic extracts and oils that will help our hair grow and retain length. With a science background, I was able to research what vitamins were essential nutrients our bodies need to assist in growing healthy and strong hair.”
When asked on what her experience has been like being a woman of color in the beauty business, she said “It’s been an amazing and eye-opening experience. I’m grateful to have such a loyal customer base, but people don’t see all the work that goes on behind the scenes. It’s been interesting to be one of or the only person of color in the room — either pitching myself and my brand or sharing my experiences and learning from others as well.”
