Military forces have toppled the government of Sudan in what looks like a coup, as the country’s Prime Minister, Abdalla Hamdok was arrested and transported to an unknown location.
According to a statement issued by Sudan’s Ministry of Information, other members of the government have been placed under arrest.
Part of the statement read: “After he refused to be a part of the coup, a force from the army detained Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and took him to an unidentified location.”
