The Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA), also known as the Chibok community, has begged President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfil his promises to rescue the remaining Borno girls abducted by terrorists before leaving office.
On the ninth anniversary of the abduction of Chibok girls, the association begged the President to take action and stated that more than 90 Chibok girls were still in captivity.
Nkeki Mutah, Chairman of the KADA, revealed that Buhari had made a lot of promises to end insurgency and rescue the schoolgirls from the terrorists.

Despite constituting a five-man committee in 2016 to investigate what led to the abduction and failure to rescue the girls, some of the girls are still missing.
Also, the association expressed concern over the recent occurrence of terrorist attacks and the terrorists’ confidence, as they posted images of their newly trained recruits.
Nkeki quoted the President’s speeches and stressed that Buhari had promised to prioritize rescuing Chibok girls and other innocent persons held captive by the insurgents.
KADA further raised concern about the fate and well-being of the 14 Chibok girls that are currently in the custody of the Borno State Government. The association added that their families and community were completely clueless about their schooling or any plans the government had for them.
KADA further appealed to President Buhari to remember his promises to Chibok community and Nigeria as he leaves office next month.
They stressed the need to rescue the remaining Chibok girls, ensure that those who have been released are well taken care of, and investigate the circumstances behind the abductions to prevent a reoccurrence.
