From October 1, Canada will drop every coronavirus entry and travel restriction.
By implication, visitors will no longer need to show proof of vaccination, get tested, tender health information through an official online site, report symptoms, wear a mask on planes and trains, isolate or quarantine.
Also, rules for cruise travellers are being lifted which means that passengers will not need to test negative before boarding a ship, get vaccinated or make use of the online public health reporting system.

In a statement, Marco Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety, said: “Since the start, our Government has taken the necessary steps to keep Canadians safe in the face of a global pandemic. Covid-19 border measures were always meant to be temporary and we are making adjustments based on the current situation because that’s what Canadians expect.”
Canada is following the footsteps of countries that have ended border restrictions. In Europe, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Germany dropped entry restrictions earlier this year.
