Nigeria’s singer, Burna Boy, has been chosen as one of the performers at upcoimg 2021 Grammy pre-show which will be streamed on March 14.
He will perform with artistd like Poppt ,Lido Pimienta, Rufus Wainwright, and other ahead of the 63rd annual award.
Also, Burna Boy is nominated in the Best Global Music Category alongside NYC afrobeat outfit, Antibalas; Tuareg desert rock group, Tinariwen; Brazilian-American, Bebel Gilberto; and British-Indian sitar player, Anoushka Shankar.
The Best Global Music Category used to be called international category of Best World Music Album. Its name was changed to “make it more modern and inclusive.”
This year’s nomination is Burna Boy’s second Grammy nomination as his previous album, African Giant, was nominated at the 62nd Grammy Awards for ‘Best World Music Album’ but Angélique Kidjo won the award.
