Fear of uncertainties have once again gripped the residents of Awka Metropolis as a trailer load of petrol being conveyed to one of the filling stations was said to have fallen to a gutter on Saturday morning.
Residents and passer-by took were seen to have taken to their heels even as men of the state fire service arrived at the scene.
The incident happened about 7.am opposite Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church along Zik avenue Awka.
However, as at the time of filing this report, police men and other security personnel had cordoned off the arena to avoid the repeat of the Onitsha inferno.
