This announcement was made on their personal accounts.
Bill Gates met Melinda French after she joined Microsoft in 1987 and they got married on January 1, 1994. They raised three children together.
According to the couple, the decision came after a “great deal of thought and work.”
They disclosed they no longer believe they could grow together as a couple in this “next phase” of their lives.
