According to a recent study carried out by YouGov, Barack Obama has displaced Bill Gates as world’s most admired man for the first time.

Michelle Obama maintains her position as world’s most admired female, having displaced Angelina Jolie last year. Jolie herself has gone up one place since last year to second while Queen Elizabeth II also rose by one rank to become the world’s third most admired female.

Gates has only dropped by one rank and this fall potentially came as a result of speculations that he is in a way involved in the transmission of COVID-19. Chinese President, Xi Jinping maintains his position as the thurd most admired man in the world.

This year’s study is YouGov’s largest ever with over 45,000 people with no fewer 42 countries and territories being interviewed during the research.
