Argentine and Benfica midfielder, Angel Di Maria, has revealed the best players he has ever played with in his footballing career and surprisingly left out Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Real Madrid and PSG winger will retire from international football after the Copa America in the summer.
While he’s nearing the end of his international career, Di Maria was asked in an interview with MARCA to talk about some of the greatest stars he has played with.
Emiliano Martinez was picked by Di Maria as the best goalkeeper he has ever played while Otamendi and Mascherano are the two centre-backs on his team.
He picked Marcelo as his left back and Sergio Ramos as his right back while he put himself, Rui Costa and Neymar in the midfield.
He picked Lionel Messi as his right winger, Kylian Mbappe as his left winger and he picked Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the striker.
A lot of football enthusiasts were shocked that Di Maria did not pick Cristiano Ronaldo. The pair played together at Real Madrid for four years, and he included two ex-Real Madrid players, Marcelo and Ramos.
