Since she broke into limelight when she represented Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada where she emerged as the top scorer with seven goals and was named the Player of the Tournament, Asisat Lamila Oshoala has not looked back in her flourishing career. 

As a matter of fact, the 28-year-old Nigerian football queen who was born in Ikorodu, Lagos, has continued to make history, breaking and setting records. Today, she is adjudged as one of the greatest African female football player of all time and one of the best in the world.

Remarkably, Oshoala also believes in giving back to the society. She launched the Asisat Oshoala Foundation in 2019 focused on empowering girl footballers in Africa. The foundation hosts the annual Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football4girls tournament in Lagos.
