Nigeria’s first Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari-led government release the Igbos if they are no longer wanted in Nigeria.
However, Amaechi said he believes in one Nigeria, as such, he would like it to continue but not under the current condition.
He spoke against the poor state of Nigeria and said that Nigeria has to begin again.
The former minister said this during a recent zoom meeting organized by Dele Momodu of the Ovation Magazine and Mazi Ezeoke.
He said the country has derailed from the original plan put in place by the founding fathers and insisted that there is need for a new constitution.
He said: “I am sad. This is no longer the country we founded. This country has to start all over again.
“You can’t beat someone and ask him not to cry. If you don’t like us, let us go. I don’t want to go, I believe in one Nigeria.”
