According to reports, Canada and Bayern Munich sensational player, Alphonso Davies, has sustained a “cranial bruise.” He suffered the injury during a recent match against Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern Munich stated that Davies was “caught in the face by the boot” of the Dortmund midfielder when he collided with Jude Bellingham just before halftime.

He was replaced by Josip Stanisic at halftime and was taken to the hospital with what was likely a concussion. The most recent prognosis indicates that Davies avoided suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Bellingham only got a yellow card for the incident, which provoked Bayern Munich players like Kingsley Coman who was later dismissed from the game.
After the match, the CEO of Bayern Munich tweeted: “Where was [referee] Dennis Aytekin’s empathy shown on the yellow [to Bellingham] when he showed a red card to Kingsley Coman.”
According to Bayern Munich, the injury sustained by Davies has no estimated recovery time. The club also stated that Davies “is feeling good in the circumstances.”

He is expected to return to training in a week or two, barring a concussion in addition to the bruise.
According to a report from German outlet Kicker, Davies could make his Bundesliga return this weekend, missing only the midweek Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen.
