‘Alma Mater is not served in a restaurant’- Nigerians react as Obasanjo leads alma mater’s centenary walk

Former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, played the role of a senior prefect as old and current students of the Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta embarked on a road walk to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the school.

In a trending video, the former president could be heard barking the orders, “Form three lines.”

Nigerians have however reacted to the video on social media.

Check out some of the reactions below:

@firstladyship tweeted: “Obasanjo is fit as a fiddle. You can tell that some people falsified their Age & Educational background. They can’t do this bcos they don’t have an alma mater. OBJ is not only blessed with longitivtiy, he doesn’t shy away from vawulence.

@MissPearls tweeted: “One Candidate has no alma mater The other had to pay for someone to secure him a crooked admission in a Poly None of them can dare try what Baba OBJ is doing here One more reason to Go Get your PVCs for Peter Obi!”

@charlypac007 tweeted: “Challenge time oh…. Where them dey? Atiku and Tinubu. Can u guys beat that? No distractions plz, just this one plz, I will vote for any who comes top”

@fidelisgimba1 tweeted: “I challenge Tinubu to make this sharp turn and still continue the road work without stories that torch,then we’ll know he’s fit to govern this nation.”

@AusteenOjie tweeted: “Alma Mater is not served in a restaurant. They don’t serve it a la carte. You have to attend a school, college, or university whichever one you attended or from which one you graduated. Don’t vote candidates whose classmates are spirits.”

@KingMidas77 tweeted: “Once a soldier, always a soldier….. Baba… ”

@IamRapulu tweeted: “And one man that claims he is 70 years can’t even stand for 2mins without support.”

@goal_getter1 tweeted: “I would take back OBJ in a heartbeat if this election is between Amoda and Mikano. Thank God for giving us a good option in Peter Obi.”

@OTOgunnowo tweeted: “My dad would definitely be there had he been alive. BBHS boys. Love that school.”

@UmeJasper tweeted: “Ebora Olusegun Obasanjo in action. Baba no send he’s in action.”
