Air Peace is on the verge of making history by launching the first direct flight from Nigeria to Israel on April 20, 2023 as the Israeli Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, Brigadier General Miri Regev, approved the aviation agreement between the two countries and forwarded it for government approval.

The agreement will allow Nigerian and Israeli airlines to carry out regular flights between Tel Aviv and Nigerian cities like Abuja and Lagos. The flights are expected to increase the number of pilgrims touring Israel from Nigeria.
In the first phase, Air Peace will carry out two weekly flights between Nigeria and Israel, which will decrease the travel time from 27 hours to just five hours.
Also, the airline has completed plans to commence three times a week flight service to Jeddah and Medina for pilgrimage purposes.
Air Peacehas met the stringent safety and security standards of Israel, which permitted it to airlift Israeli citizens during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Also, the airline has started direct flights to China and India, and is expecting more deliveries of Embraer E195-E2 and Boeing B737 MAX 8 and 10 aircraft in 2023.
The Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, thanked the governments of Nigeria and Israel for making the direct flight a reality and said that the airline is well prepared for the inaugural and subsequent flights to the Holy Land. He also expressed confidence in getting approval from Saudi authorities for the flight service to Jeddah and Medina.
