Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight sensation, Israel Adesanya, who was arrested at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, USA has been released.
Adesanya’s release was confirmed by his manager, Tim Simpson, who revealed further that Adesanya was on his way home after his release.

The 33-year-old lost his UFC title by TKO to Alex Pereira in New York recently and was later arrested by Port Authority police at the JFK Airport.
In New York, metal knuckles are illegal. Its possession is a Class A misdemeanor. TSA rules permit metal knuckles to be stored in checked luggage but prohibits passengers from possessing them in carry-on bags.
In a statement, Simpson said: “When flagged at the airport, Israel quickly disposed of the item and cooperated with authorities.
“He has complied accordingly. With that, the matter was dismissed and he’s on his way home.
“Israel was handed a gift by a fan, which he put in his luggage.”

This came after Adesanya lost to Pereira in the UFC, in what has been a difficult week for the fighter.
