Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, and two other former executives, Vijaya Gadde and Ned Segal, have sued Twitter over unpaid personal legal expenses of more than $1 million.
The lawsuit was filed in Delaware chancery court and it alleged that Twitter has refused to cover the legal bills incurred by the trio while responding to lawsuits and investigations connected to their former positions at the company.
According to sources familiar with the suit, the legal expenses include costs associated with an investigation by the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

Though it is not clear what the probes were related to or that they are ongoing, Agrawal and Segal have revealed that they incurred legal expenses in relation to inquiries by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2022 while investigating whether Musk breached securities regulations.
The fresh suit joins the long list of issues the social media company has been encountering amongst other financial challenges which include advertisers cutting back on spending and $1.5 billion of annual interest payments on $13 billion of debt used to fund the acquisition.
