Plan a memorable holiday vacation to Dubai, Middle East’s shopping capital. Home to bustling souk districts and the biggest shopping mall in the world, Dubai offers so much more than a grand shopping spree. Think dreamlike artificial islands, underwater suites, the largest flower garden in the world, and a dizzying skyline. Here are six tourist attractions you should definitely visit when you get to Dubai.
Burj Khalifa
The 828-meter-tall Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. Everything about this majestic structure spells out opulence: the exquisitely landscaped Burj Khalifa park and the giant fountain system with its fifty colored projectors and over 6,000 lights. Check in at one of the hotels in Burj Khalifa and join the At the Top tour to watch the spectacular view of the metropolis from the observation deck.
Palm Jumeirah
Choose from any of the numerous hotels and resorts at Palm Jumeirah, a manmade archipelago that had cost $12.3 billion to make off the coast of Dubai. Shaped like a palm leaf, the artificial island’s fronds are home to many residential villas. Palm Jumeirah has scenic marinas, several luxury resorts and spas, as well as many upscale shopping districts.
DubaiMarina
This popular Dubai tourist attraction sports a breathtaking skyline, a picturesque beach, and numerous shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. Tour Dubai Marina’s two major walkways, The Marina Walk and The Walk, and then join a cruise on a yacht.
Wild Wadi Waterpark
If you travel with kids, consider spending a day at the Wild Wadi Waterpark. Beat the sweltering desert climate of Dubai with a frolic at the park’s water rides, waterfalls, and tidal pool. Located near Jumeriah Beach, Wild Wadi Waterpark has a wide selection of rides, from the relaxing Juha’s Journey to the pulse-thumping Tantrum Alley.
DubaiMuseum
Visit one of the city’s main cultural attractions and head to the Dubai Museum. Check out the museum’s galleries, dioramas, exhibits, and the video room showing the history of Dubai. Also, see the cultural artifacts and relics dating back from as old as 3,000 BC that are displayed at the Dubai Museum.
Dubailand
One day may not be enough to get your fill of the captivating Dubailand. Home to many attractions, which include Legoland Dubai, Marvel Super Heroes Theme Park, Astrolab Resort, and Giants World, Dubailand offers a wide selection of family entertainment options, refreshing spa resorts, and invigorating sports-oriented areas. And while you’re at Dubailand, don’t forget to tour Dubai Miracle Garden, the largest flower garden in the world, and to enter the fun-filled, state-of-the-art theme park called Sahara Kingdom, where you get to experience vivid recreations of Arabian folklore.
