Three Nigerian students/graduates of the Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, have been killed in a recent car crash.
They are identified as Oluwatosin Adeojo, Daniel Okocha, and Femi Adebowale. The students and one other person were embarking on a trip in a car when it was hit by a pickup truck.
After reports of the collision, RCMP were called to 1st Avenue and Battle Street but Femi and Daniel died at the spot while Tosin later died in the hospital.
The truck owner was arrested but was set free later that day. No charges have been laid.
A statement from the president of the university, Brett Fairbairn, posted on the university’s website, says the four people that died in the car were international students, either current or alumni.
