The current defending champion of the English premier league, Chelsea football club are on the verge of signing Real Madrid top striker Alvaro Morata. The Blues have reportedly agreed a whopping fee £68m for the Spaniard. The 25-year-old is set to become Antonio Conte’s 4th signing of the summer.
The Spanish International had almost signed for their fierce rivals Manchester United before the deal broke down.
Information have it that the 25-year-old is set to become Chelsea’s record signing if he pens the deal with the EPL champions this summer.
The Blues have made the former Juventus man their top transfer target after missing out on Romelu Lukaku to United this summer.
Alvaro Morata is set to depart Madrid’s pre-season tour of the US to hold talks with the premier league giants on his personal terms before talks are being held between the two top clubs.
It was earlier reported that the Blues boss Antonio Conte had already signed a new two-year contract with the London giant which saw him being the highest paid coach of the London side and also trailing the likes of Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola as the most paid coaches in England.
The Stamford Bridge side have already completed the signing of French midfieder Tiemoue Bakayoko, German defender Antonio Rudiger and Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero this summer in their quest to compete European trophy next season. Antonio conte hopes to have the UCL trophy in England next season with his complete squad.
