WestJet staff are showcasing a new look as the airline changes its uniforms with focus on gender inclusivity.
The Calgary-based carrier reveals that the new blue pantsuits, skirts and dresses with teal accents are meant to promote gender neutrality, so workers can choose the uniform that is most authentic and suitable to them.
Also, the uniforms include name tags that are redesigned with space for staff to denote the pronouns they prefer people address them with.

The uniforms were designed by the winner of “Project Runway Australia,” Juli Grbac, with contributions from frontline airline workers and the teal accent is meant to be a commemoration of the company’s 26-year history.
The change of design happened five years after WestJet amended its uniform guidelines to embrace a genderless approach which encourages staff to wear whatever resonates most with them.
WestJet has amended its policies to permit staff to display visible tattoos while working.
