Utility workers are still working to restore electricity to thousands of customers who have been without it for days in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick due to the severe winter storms that occurred recently.
Around 33,000 Hydro-Québec customers and over 13,000 Hydro One customers were still without power.
New Brunswick Power has restored electricity to majority of customers who were affected by the storm, which it has said was one of the largest provincewide outage events of the last 25 years.

The utility’s outage map reveals that 189 customers are still affected by outages.
Hydro-Québec says 87% of customers have regained power since the extreme weather commenced recently.
It said 1,300 field staff were working on the problem, and teams from stabilized regions would focus on the hardest-hit areas.
