Toronto police has identified a 28-year-old student from Nigeria as the victim that was fatally stabbed during a fight in a Scarborough plaza recently.
According to police, the fight broke out on Sunday, around 7 p.m., in Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road.
Toronto Police Service Duty Inspector Jeff Banglid told newsmen at the scene that two people were fighting in the plaza, and one was left with serious injuries.
The victim, Ifeanyichukwu Oseke, was rushed to the hospital, but Banglid disclosed succumbed to his injuries on the way there.

The incident is being treated as a homicide.
Police noted that the male suspect was last seen entering inside a dark-coloured sedan, heading south on Brimley Road.
The suspect is described by police as a man with medium-length dark hair who wore a light-coloured tank top, pants and shoes.
Bangild said: “It was very populated at the time and we understand there was a number of people that actually had seen this event.”
He added that police believe it to be an isolated incident with no risk to public safety.
