The transfer of Victor Osimhen to Napoli is under investigation after an internal body of the Italian Football Federation, the Supervisory Commission on Professional Football Clubs, submitted a report to the Italian FA in respect of suspicious transfer activities that took place in the last two years.
The report borders on 62 transfers that occurred between 2019 and 2021, with special attention on player exchanges and recorded profits.

Osimhen has been in great form for Napoli this term, netting nine goals in 11 games, after enduring a difficult debut season but the latest development comes as bad news.
According to Football Italia, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Italian Football Federation is investigating the much-maligned swap deal involving Osimhen and some other transfers.
Part of the statement read: “COVISOC has informed the FIGC of possible capital gains by inflated valuations, highlighting, among others, Victor Osimhen’s move from LOSC Lille to Napoli and Juventus’ exchange deal with Barcelona for Arthur Melo.
“Included in the long list published by Il Tempo, the controversial negotiation that helped the Azzurri sign Osimhen is of course the standout case.
“The Nigerian joined Napoli on a deal valued at €71.25m, according to the report, with Orestis Karnezis, Claudio Manzi, Ciro Palmieri and Luigi Liguori going in the opposite direction for a total of €20.13m.”
