An Iranian goalkeeper is sad with Jordanian officials who alleged that she is a man.
32-year-old Zohreh Koudaei saved two penalties in Iran’s recent 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Jordan in Uzbekistan and pushed her team into its first Women’s Asia Cup appearance.

Jordan’s football association were not gracious in defeat. As a matter of fact, they requested a gender verification check on Koudaei from the Asian Football Federation.
However, Koudaei has responded by threatening to sue.
While talking to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, Koudaei said: “I am a woman. This is bullying from Jordan.”
The President of Jordan’s FA, Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, shared the letter recently, calling it a “very serious issue if true”, and requested that the AFC should “please wake up.”
According to Jordan’s claim, Iran has a history “with gender and doping issues.”
The Iranian team manager has debunked the allegations and claimed that the Jordanian team, who were favourites, just had sour grapes.
