No fewer than five people have died and one injured in a recent shooting in Vaughan, a suburb of the Canadian city of Toronto, police have said.
While talking to reporters, Jim MacSween, local police chief, said the suspect also died after he exchanged fire with law enforcement. He added that the shooting took place in an apartment building.
The injured person has been hospitalized with no danger reported.
MacSween said: “Once the officers arrived, they were met with… a horrendous scene where numerous victims were deceased.”

Police have commenced an investigation into the killing and if there was a connection between the victims and the unnamed.
The suspect allegedly perpetrated the act alone.
The victims were seen in different apartments in the building in Vaughan, a suburb located about 30km north of Toronto.
According to the information gathered, residents were evacuated instantly and dozens of ambulances and police officers were present at the scene.
