The embattled DCP, Abba Kyari, has appeared before the special panel that is investigating his alleged link with Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.
It should be recalled that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), alleged that Hushpuppi gave Kyari the sum of 8 million Naira as a bribe to arrest and detain his rival, Chibuzor Kelly Vincent, after falling out with each other over a $1 million fraud deal.

A Special Investigation panel chaired by the Deputy Inspector-General of police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department, Joseph Egbunike, sat at the Force headquarters in Abuja recently as they commenced the investigation of the allegation against Kyari.
Kyari appeared before the panel and presented his defence on the indictment. However, the details of his defence have not been made known to the public.
